Born in Indonesia of French parents, Sophie Masson is the author of more than 50 novels for children, young adults and adults, published in Australia, and internationally. Her recent historical novel, The Hunt for Ned Kelly, Scholastic Press, won the Patricia Wrightson Prize for Children’s Literature in the 2011 NSW Premier’s Literary Awards. Her short stories, essays and articles have been published in anthologies, magazines and online, and her book of essays for adults, Life, Literature, Legends, was published by Quadrant Books in 2011.
